Change Partner

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children's rights and equality for girls.

We believe in the power and potential of every child. But this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it's girls who are most affected.

Working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges facing girls and all vulnerable children.

We support children's rights from birth until they reach adulthood. And we enable children to prepare for – and respond to – crises and adversity. We drive changes in practice and policy at local, national and global levels using our reach, experience and knowledge.

We employ more than 9,000 people in programme countries, working with over 85,000 communities. We have been building powerful partnerships for children for over 80 years, and are now active in more than 70 countries.

Location: It may also be possible to be based in a country office, as there will be frequent travel to the countries being managed and other countries that require change support.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting time for Plan International, as we embark on a new strategy which places an increased focus on girls' rights with an ambition to take action so that 100 million girls can learn, lead, decide and thrive.

The new strategy will dramatically transform how we operate – from implementing excellent gender-transformative development programmes in our communities in support of our ambition, to modernising our operating models, to stepping up bold, credible national and global influencing, informed by cutting edge evidence from our work in communities.

As Change Partner, your objective is to accelerate the adoption of our global strategy and the achievement of our strategic ambition and goals. Our approach to implementation is ‘leader-led' and Change Partners will work closely with our senior teams to support the design and implementation of the transformed organisation.
