POSITION STATUS: Full time (48hours/week)/local hire
COMPENSATION: Gross salary + benefits: 12,639,465CFA to13,817,295 /annum.
The position isbased at the Peace Corps Office in Dakar, Senegal. Under the direct supervisionof the General Services Manager(or designate), the GSA – Motor Pool/Communication is primarily responsiblefor: a) managing all services related to coordinating the movement of vehiclesand drivers; b) all PCV related telephone issue, and; c) all shipping duties. Due to the myriad of duties required, theincumbent will need an inborn sense of prioritization and organization and canreasonably expect to work some evening, holiday and weekend hours.
Major duties andresponsibilities:
Manage the vehicle pool includingcoordination of vehicle maintenance and repairs with the GSA/mechanic.
Register all fuel transactions into thesoftware in place (VMIS). Monthly check of fuel bills, certification, and submissionto the hierarchy for validation and payment.
Daily management of vehicles movement.Coordinate movement logistics for conferences and training activities.
Manage driver performance. Providecommunications and logistics support to the drivers.
Lead annual driver training.
Maintain all vehicle files in compliancewith Peace Corps regulations.
Obtain quotes for purchasing, andexecute selected purchases related to motor pool management; assure appropriatedocumentation and filing of quotes and procurement related documents.
Performregular updates on all vehicle: temporary admissions, insurances, fireextinguishers, first aids tools and assure their functionality at all times.
Manage PCV pre-paid float of telephone#s.
Assist with all shipping related issues– both for PCVs and official PC/Senegal business.
The GSA is designated Sub-cashier.
Education:Completion of high school (BAC) isrequired. Higher education level an advantage.
Work experience: At least three years of experiencemanaging vehicle fleet, of which at least one year must have been in a U.S. orother Government agency or international NGO. Must have a driving licensesubmitted with the application. Mechanical skills for maintenance and repairsis an added advantage.
Languages skills: Good verbal and written communicationskills in French and English equivalent to Level 3. Higher language skills isan advantage. Required fluency in Wolof and one other national language spokenin Senegal.
Computer skills: basic knowledge of Microsoft Word,Excel, and Outlook.
Proven abilityto communicate to broad range of people across various cultures. Proven abilityto manage multiple competing priorities.
Customerservice: prior experience in a customer service giving rolean advantage.
